Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is designed to enhance circulation, detoxify body tissue and eliminate muscular stress, all of which allow the body to enjoy a relaxed state. Massage can also help free restricted fascia (soft tissue) which may have been injured due to an accident or over use. Many soft tissue injuries go untreated only to cause further impairment in later years. (Oh yes, if let go the pain eventually goes away only to resurface, sometimes years later, in a more complicated manner.)
Massage therapy can free this restricted fascia and return the fluidity to the tissue so it may once again be flexible and enjoy movement. Without this movement, toxins cannot be properly released. blood flow may be restricted, limiting the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the body's cells. Also the immune cells of the lymphatic system needed to fight infection may have trouble getting around to do their job. Massage can help.
