The purple circles in one of the drawings shows the area that most often causes the problems. The wrist is where the symptom is but the cause is in the shoulder area. Often internal rotation of the shoulders puts pressure on the nerve to the arm causing inflammation. The inflamed nerve pushes against the tissues in the small tunnel in the wrist area causing the pain.
